Demo Pilots

The DSS will be tested in 8 pilot farms located in Italy, Spain, Turkey and Tunisia receiving inputs from different types of users, growing systems, tomato typologies, in different geographic locations and climate environments, and in this way, ensuring its scalability in terms of getting the largest number of final users as possible.

Italy

1. Azienda Agricola F.lli Lapietra, located in Monopoli (Bari, Puglia), South-East of Italy. The support system will be tested in 0.5 ha of soilless (rockwool) tomato greenhouse, with closed loop system.

2. Società Agricola Punzi, located in Eboli (Salerno, Campania), South-West of Italy. The product will be tested in 0.5 ha of soil tomato greenhouse and 0.02 ha of soilless (coconut fiber) greenhouse tomato, with gutter subirrigation in closed loop system.

3. Società semplice Agricola Anterminelli Giacomo, located in Sassetta (Livorno, Toscana), centre of Italy. The product will be tested in 0.2 ha of soilless (coconut fiber) greenhouse tomato, with closed loop system and 0.2 ha of soil greenhouse tomato.

Spain

4. UNICA Group SCA, located in Almería (South-West of Spain), is the first exporter of vegetables of Spain, and the support system will be tested in 0.2 ha of soil greenhouse tomato.

5. CASI SCA (Cooperativa Agricola San Isidoro), located in Almería (South-West of Spain), and will test the support system in 0.2 ha of soil greenhouse tomato.

Turkey

6. Gizli Tarım, a private company located in Aksu-Antalya, South-West Turkey and the iGUESS-MED system will be tested in 0.5 ha of soil greenhouse tomato.

Tunisia

7. Centre technique des cultures protégées et géothermiques, CTCPG is a farmer extension service located in Monastir, East-Central of Tunisia. The support system will be tested in 0.3 ha of soil greenhouse tomato.

8. Zina fresh, is a commercial exploitation located in Gabes, South-East Tunisia. The support system will be tested in 0.6 ha of soilless (coconut fiber) tomato monotunnels, with drip irrigation and open loop system.
